Introduction: 本校英專時期，依組織規程僅設秘書1人，為學校發展之需要，於民國58年12月起，正式成立秘書處，秉承校長之命，辦理綜合業務，民國84年8月，因應大學法之施行，更名為秘書室，目前編制內有15位同仁。負責本校綜合性業務，及校長室(學院時代稱院長室)承辦綜核文稿、大凡全校性工作計畫彙編、校(院)務會議、行政會議、單位間處理共同業務之聯繫及校(院)長交辦等事項。

Tamkang was first established in 1950 as a Junior College of English, and there was only one secretary in this office. Starting December 1969, the office of secretariate was formally organized, and directly under the President of the University to handle secretarial affairs. The office was re-organized in 1995 and currently has 18 employee.The office is directly under the President of the University,and there is no section within the office.
