To increase the software productivity many CASE(Computer Aided Software Engineering) tools had been developed by different companies. Therefore, the tool integration grew more and more important. This paper describes an architecture based on a control integration platform(CIP) for exchanging messages among different tools. CIP is developed by III(Institute for Information Industry) in Taiwan and can make many tools easier to integrate into a cooperative software developing environment. To evaluate this platform, a number of tools including editor, testing path analyzer are developed to verify this environment. Furthermore, the evaluation criteria are illustrated to assess the functionality of this platform.
