    Abstract: 在多種伺服器建構互動虛擬世界中,包含了眾多的資訊分布於各個伺服器,本論文的目的是建立一個外部搜尋的機制,讓使用者能在虛擬世界中快速找到所想要的資訊。有別於一般傳統的網頁搜尋,本論文希望改善集中式管理造成的大量的資料蒐集,耗費網路頻寬,以及資料量過於龐大的問題,因此將資料按照地域分散於各地的伺服器。本論文提出的兩種外部搜尋方式,就是在不同伺服器建構的虛擬世界建立一個搜尋路徑,藉由移動式的代理人機制,根據所建立的搜尋路徑,快速在各伺服器之間移動,並擷取查詢的相關資訊。針對搜尋的機制,我們給予三點要求限制,第一點是目標結果要符合使用者敘述,第二點是關於搜尋的地域性,所搜尋回傳的結果目標物要是離使用者最近或是最容易到達取得,第三點是要提昇搜尋的效率,避免網路頻寬的浪費。
    In an interaction virtual world which is constructed by multi-servers, user can connect to the virtual world by the location server. This paper proposes two “External Search” mechanisms to let user quickly find out the needed information in the virtual world. These mechanisms set up searching paths by connecting all the servers in the virtual world. By these searching paths, mobile agent can move between different servers to fetch information of what user wants. There are three goals that should be achieved: First, the searching results conform to user's description. Second, searching results should fit the characteristics of geography. Third, the loading of network bandwidth should be reduced and also promoted the search performance.
