The EC has become a trading block not only in the European Continent but also in the World Trade Organization. The EC has competence over trade-related issues. This article approaches the EC’s global actor within the WTO dispute settlement system. This article is divided into five sections. Section I introduces the development of the EC after the Second World War. Section II focuses on the basic legal framework of the EC. Section III discusses the relationship between the EC and the WTO. Section IV works on the EC’s participation in the dispute settlement system of the WTO. Section V brings the discussion to a conclusion. 歐洲共同體不僅在歐洲大陸，同時也在世界貿易組織中，成為一個重要的貿易區塊。目前，歐洲共同體已經有能力處理與貿易相關的議題。本文嘗試研究在世界貿易組織紛爭解決機制中，歐洲共同體所扮演的全球角色。本文共分成五個部分。第一部分介紹二次戰後歐洲共同體的發展。第二部分關注歐洲共同體的基本法律架構。第三部分則討論歐洲共同體與世界貿易組織間的關係。第四部分討論歐洲共同體在世界貿易組織紛爭解決機制中的參與。第五部份則為結論。
