Introduction: 該系於民國八十五年成立，原名為國際貿易營運系，於民國八十五年以單獨招生招收第一屆學生五十名。後以聯合招生、轉學考試、申請入學、推薦甄選等方式招收學生。於民國八十八年二月更名為國際企業經營系。教學目標是以培養具有國際觀與未來觀之國際企業經營人才為旨。配合學教既定的「國際化」、「資訊化」、「未來化」¬之三化政策設計專業課程，培養學生專業知識與涵養。為強化學生之「國際觀」，加強學生之第二種外國語言能力削戀，以為「國際觀」之基礎向下紮根。開設語言課程，例如「商用英語會話」、「應用日語會話」等課程，強化學生的外語能力。

In August, 1996, the Department of International Business Management was set up to carry out and promote the policy of the Ministry of Education, with an emphasis on strengthening special, technical and professional education, enhancing the professional skills of junior college graduates, expanding channels for and access to on-the-job education and promoting the multi-faceted development of Tamkang University. With Taiwan’s increasing trend toward globalization, this department offers advanced theoretical and practical courses for students who have graduated from similar or identical departments in junior colleges, and thus cultivating advanced personnel for international trade and administration necessary for the economic development of the country.
