    Abstract: It is helpful and effective for a library system to improve its performance and enhance its functions by the way of the evaluation of users' retrieving behavior and attitude toward the system. The purpose of the evaluation of users' information needs and behavior is providing librarians and system designers with some objective reference to design a better OPAC to meet users' requirements. The 100 sampling users of the article, including readers and librarians from the four National Universities in the northern area (National Taiwan University, National Cheng-Chi University, National Taiwan Normal University, National Yang-Ming University) Which use the common library system-- INNOPAC. The research is conucted by the methods of interviewing and questionnarie, analyzing the satisfactory factors of each function and the interaction between users and system.
