With the increasing urgency to make incoming materials timely available to the intolerant readers, more and more libraries in Taiwan are interested in copy cataloging and outsourcing. By reviewing the Core Bibliographic Record in the United States, the author of this article tries to emphasize the necessity tore-evaluate our cooperative cataloging systems, to study the PCC Core, and to produce more cataloging aids, for seeking more cost-effective cooperative cataloging services.
