This article explains what's wrong with reference service. Users often have low inspections of what the reference librarian have to offer. Perhaps limited to a belief that librarians know where things are. Perhaps limited to a understanding what can the reference librarian do. But be a reference librarian, she (he) has a lot of stuffs need to do, has a lot of plains try to design. She doesn't have any break. Everytime we talk about the number of increasing reference services, increasing the number of reference books. But we seldom talk about the increasing depression on the reference librarian. this paper talks about coping with success and failure on reference service in Taiwan.
