The effect of information proliferation has made the library playing an important role in transmitting information and delivering documents to users either at home or at office through various networks. The primary goal in the information society is to enhance the effectiveness of resource sharing endeavours among the academic and research sectors. Many universities, both public and private, here in Taiwan have developed their own campus-wide information networks in recent years in order to promote their teaching and research activities as well as to increase the efficiency of administration. How to integrate briween the library services and campus networks to attain the goal of resource sharing is the main objective to be discussed in this article.
