    Abstract: After developing the online catalog, the authority control is emphasized again. The paper discusses the rational concepts, history background, and practical operations of the authority control. The author also expects the Chinese library professions to promote the Chinese bibliographic control to be the best under the situation of making authority control's concepts publicly and systematizing authority work.
