    Abstract: If information jobs make up the majority of the GNP percentage in the production structure, then information society has come into being. This article is intended to discuss the factors of information society, and explore the efforts of which some developing countries have made to step forward to the information society era. As information will be the most important resource of the informastion society, this article also discuss how the libraries can conform to the information demands, and how they can modify their existing functions.
