There are so many libraries using AACR in our country. Undoubtedly, cataloging practice here will be much influenced by the implementation of AACR 2, and LC's closing card catalog on the Day-one (Jan. 1, 1981). This study is to provide a critical review of AACR 2, by comparing the merits and defects of two editions, for our effective use in the near future.
