    Abstract: Inappropriate design of learning environment and learner-machine interface will not only hinder learning effectiveness and efficientness but also creat physical fatigue and damage. The purpose of this paper is to urge instructional designer to go beyond the routine analysis of instructional programs and pay more attention to the human factors design arrangement. Conditions of lighting, color, noise, temperature, viewing distances and angles, learning-place design and sociology of learner interaction are discussed.
