Abstract:	本文從觀察與實務經驗敘述中文圖書館自動化的問題，分從應用電腦以來的老問題及近年來受到網際網路衝擊下的新問題。前者以字集及中文關鍵詞最難解；後者在新環境下紛紛以功能整合的模式突破傳統的作業方式，另一變化為順應越來越多的數位化的資料，得建立數位圖書館，對此問題本文僅著墨於使用數位化資料所涉及的問題。針對新舊問題筆者分別提出部份解決方案及注意事項，其中二項最具體：一為完整書目可建立 PDF 檔或圖形檔以克服使用者端字符不足，無法顯示字形的困擾；一為提醒以中文視窗作業系統取閱西文數位資料有時會發生曲解原文的現象，因之，使用數位資料時，務必注意作業的環境，以免誤差。
