Abstract:	本研究從科學引用文獻索引(Science Citation Index-SCI)之解讀，透視期刊引用報告 (Journal Citation Reports-JCR)，並論及期刊評告之另類準則。探討 SCI 之內容包括： SCI 編製的過程、從線上資料庫檢索實例說明 SCI 之特性、應用及其限制。介紹 JCR 之內容計有：期刊刊名序列表、引用期刊表、被引用期刊表、期刊主題分類表、期刊基本資料、影響因素、即時索引、被引用半衰期、引用半衰期。此外尚論及 JCR 之應用與限制。除了 JCR 所提供之評估準則外，期刊大小、期刊訂閱量及期刊影響力等，亦是重要之期刊評估準則。
