The paper presents sliding mode control optimal decentralizedstabilizer to design the power system stabilizers. We use the optimalreduced models to reduce the power system model into two statevariables system by each generator and use sliding mode control tofind control signal of each generator, moreover, use optimaldecentralized stabilizer to achieve control each generator. Theadvantages of the proposed method are illustrated by numericalsimulation of the two machines-infinite-bus power systems.
