    Abstract: 近年來, 由於無線通訊技術的迅速發展, 使無線區域網路在未來將變成一種趨勢; 未來的網路將由有線網路及無線區域網路兩者發揮到淋漓盡致境界, 使網路無死角。本論文即針對IEEE 802.11無線網路系統整體架構(如圖), 原理及設計時的要點, 做一介紹與比較。
    The design issues of IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN (WLAN) are introduced and discussed in this paper. The experiments of software and hardware implementations are also introduced. The experiment tells that the complicated management functions of WLAN should be allocated in host PC instead of LAN card to reduce the overhead of MAC controller.
