The main purpose of th is paper is to deve lop a numerical melhod to study diffus ion f lames in n combustor. Two-step chemical reaction and a odified EBU model are adopted to simulate combustion and turbulence phenomena. The governing equations are discretized and solved by the SIMPLE methodology. The results are compared with existing
experimental data, and the parameters involved in the model are accordingly refined to yield more accurate simulation. The numerical mode l thus obtained is uti I ized to predict the flow field in a combustor.
