The purpose of this research is to research the board stiffness on the behavior of soil nailing wall during excavation procedure. The experiment is to simulate excavation of 1.0 m high in sandbox of 1 .8 m*0.82 m*1.5 m. The length of nails is 0.7 m and buried with horizontal space of 27.5 cm and vertical space of 20 cm. There are three rows of nails. Every row has five nails. Using three kinds of boards with thickness of 1.5 mm, 2 mm and 3 mm, and three kind of nail obliquity of 0.degree., 15.degree. and 30.degree. to anlayze.
