The Generalized Cap model has been developed to simulate the nonlinear soil behavior under large loads. With the basic model equations, material state can be computed for given strain sets. In this work, derivation of its tangent rigidity matrix on basis of the consistent return mapping algorithm is discussed. Application of the solution in the stress analysis is then presented with an investigation on nonlinear dynamic response of roads.
