    摘要: A simple numerical procedure of calculation of bearing capacity of shallow foundation is proposed. This procedure employs the Terzaghi-Prandtl model of general shear failure. In this paper, the roughness of foundation base is somewhat between ideal rough and ideal smooth. The friction angle utilized in the computation is modified by an empirical equation from the friction angle of soil, when the friction angle of soil is larger than 30°. The computed bearing capacity is the average value of the bearing capacities of the different roughness angles of base changing from the ideal rough to ideal smooth. The computed bearing capacity compares favorable with the field and laboratory data.
