    Abstract: 現今的監控系統與傳統的監控系統間最大的不同,乃在於現今的監控系統加入了網際網路、無線傳輸及行動通訊的應用,透過網路的傳輸可以大幅節省監控系統在佈線上的成本,並克服遠距監控的困難度,使得監控可以達到隨時隨地、處處可監控的境界。
    無線傳輸、通訊與監控的結合是現代化的科技趨勢,近年來將這種技術帶入生活中的概念正逐漸萌芽,基於此種理念本文設計與實現一個結合網際網路、無線傳輸及行動通訊的監控系統。新一代的監控系統更強調經由一個統一的界面(例如:網頁界面),讓使用者在單一個瀏覽器的情況下讓監控變得更加的容易。而本篇論文在監控系統上除了具備上述所說的能力之外,更強調使用者控制與管理的功能,並結合了PDA手持裝置以達到巡迴式的監控,同時能夠對擷取出來的影像做網路串流,儲存等。透過此手持裝置我們就可以隨時隨地、處處監控,而不是局限於只能待在監控室觀察,讓近端和遠端的管理人員更容易監視,可以達到隨處可監控,處處無死角的地步。
    配合個人電腦作PC Based的監控,並利用網路與分散式資料擷取模組監控量測,將資料收集後回傳,在人機界面和網頁以圖表、數字的方式顯示,讓近端和遠端的管理人員更容易掌控。本研究所實現的監控系統,除了可在網頁上瀏覽動態資料外,其與現有既存的網路監控系統最大的差異在於:可在任何一台經過授權的電腦修改伺服電腦的程式,其中包括:遠端測試軟硬體、遠端故障排除、遙控啟動程式;也就是說,當大部分情況發生時,人員不需要到達現場,即可將問題排除,且在不變更資料擷取模組等相關硬體的前提下,可在遠端依現場的需要,任意的增加或刪除伺服電腦的功能和程式,進而達到最佳的工作效率。
    The greatest difference between modern and traditional monitoring system is the modern system adds internet access, wireless transmission and mobile communication into the system which tremendously reduce the transmission cost and make remote monitoring available anywhere and anytime. Integrating internet access and wireless transmission into monitoring system is a technical trend today and this kind of technology is widely accepted and merged into our daily life.
    New generation of monitoring system adopts a unified web browsing interface which is easier for user to operate the system than the old one. This essay is going to talk about how the monitoring system operates on internet, wireless and mobile network and then discuss all its functionalities. Later of the chapters, the control and management functions developed on unified PDA hand-hold equipment will be addressed. Through hand-hold equipment, the monitored and controlled area is extended.
    PC based monitoring is to collect images from distributed network and then calculate and analyze on local PC but display the result as data or charts through web page which makes either local or remote user easy to view and control.
    Our new generation monitoring system provides not only the web browsing feature but also the remote maintenance feature thru the operator can update monitoring server’s software from any authorized PC remotely. Besides the remote software modification, the remote maintenance feature also includes hardware testing, debugging and start/stop functions. In other word, the operator needs not to be on the site all the time in order to fix any server problem once the alarm occurs.
