    Abstract: 異質性無線網路的整合,是以不同無線連線技術之間,互相支援,以達到擴大服務範圍。而目前異質性無線網路無隙縫連線系統研究上大多以Mobile IP,Handoff和暫存/轉送封包等方式,以確保封包不遺失的研究為主。本篇論文中,提出智慧型異質無線網路切換模組,強調異質無線網路的整合中,Mobile Station至少存在一個連線。並實作整合802.11無線網路和GPRS異質性無線網路。以Microsoft Windows XP作業系統作為實作平台,建構一控制程式,此應用程式可以任意控制802.11 無線網路卡和GPRS數據卡,存取 802.11無線網路和GPRS網路之能力,若無法存取802.11無線網路時,以建立GPRS網路連線,以達到無隙縫地存取網際網路。
    Wireless Internet network service era has already come, it is to provide an alternative to solving limitations of wired medium and to providing users with much convenience on mobility, people can experience such convenience from various wireless technologies which include 802.11 WLAN, GPRS and Bluetooth. Since hand-off problem in between WLAN and GPRS on IP layer have already widely discussed by many papers but rarely discussing this issues of power consumption and connection cost of the WLAN and GPRS connecting to mobile node at the same time. Therefore, the Heterogeneous Wireless Network Switch Model on data link layer is what will be mainly covered and presented in this paper, and the issues on data link layer is realized to include problems of reducing the power consumption and connection cost as well as connecting timing for WLAN or GPRS, which will be implemented by using one application called Heterogeneous Wireless Network Control (HWNC) for easy comprehension. The status will be observed and collected during connection by using the HWNC that is to direct controlling WLAN device and GPRS device on Microsoft Window XP. We will then determine whether the WLAN or GPRS is actively connected according to the final status of HWNC mentioned above.
