This research focuses on the process integration and control of the methanol bioprocess. First, we used AspenPlus to complete the steady-state simulation of the bioprocess. The cold and hot stream data were extracted accordingly. Secondly, by using the heuristics of pinch technology and SuperTarget, we were able to complete the heat exchanger network synthesis for the efficient use of energy of the bioprocess. Finally, we used AspenDynamics to complete the dynamic simulations of the separation units of the bioprocess by means of the feedback control and cascade control.
