本論文乃以汐止夢想社區之地方性街道嘉年華為研究案例，探討一缺乏傳統之新城市移民社區如何援引西方社區節慶儀式，由下而上，透過藝術工作坊及踩街遊行，自發地開創身體於城市空間之新體驗。此集體走上街頭狂歡和展演的城市文化事件，以非常狀態之張力攪動日常生活中之常態秩序對身體的約束，重構日常生活，並在過渡而短暫的時間中釋放集體能量，改變參與者與旁觀者對長久被汽車主導之現代城市街道空間的感知與認同。社區節慶是一新興跨界連結的集體機制，開放身體與空間的邊界，進而產生辯證性的流動關係，而非單向的宰制或規限，相當迥異於一般傳統建築、社會地理學、乃至社區營造角度出發之動員模式，因而提供了相對於規馴身體之日常路徑外、一另類空間解放的城市經驗， This thesis is a case study of localized street carnival at the Dream Community of His-Chi, Taipei County, intending to explore how a new urban immigrant community ushered in the western community festival ritual and autonomously cultivated, from bottom up, new bodily experiences at rigid urban spaces via creative workshops and arts parade. This particular urban cultural event which induced local residents to participate collectively in a theatrical street spree and wild performances intentionally disturbed the ordinary order of everyday life through heightened tension under an extraordinary condition. It reconstructed scenes of everyday life, released collective energy within transitional and temporary period of time, and transformed the public perception and identification of modern urban streetscape predominated by the uses of automobiles. Community festival is a newly-developed collective mechanism of cross-disciplinary connection. It opens up the boundary between body and space, and further fosters their dialectical and dynamic relationship rather than an one-dimensional dominance or restriction.. This is a different mobilization mode from general architectural study, social geography, and community empowerment, providing an alternative urban experience of spatial liberation in contrast with the daily routines delineated by docile bodies.
