This research is motivated to investigate a problem with ‘‘mobility’’ and ‘‘residency’’ between essence topic where the spaces change constantly produced, and the study is widened to include the category of cities that are facing globalization, and its transition of the city space and approval of the local edge. This research will cover the “Taipei-Jing-Mei-Wan-Long Area” and then by the researcher’s own personal experience and feeling toward the Jing-Mei area as the starting point. An investigation is made in the area of regional space experience and specialty, and then this information is utilized to derive a method to operate on the tactics, contact local space characteristic, community, activity and zoning for space of the border district in the city, and make the city ground scenes separated. And finally, it will study the “experiment base”, the city edge of Wan-Long area, and in turn carry on a deeper investigation and analysis to come up with a concrete suggestion for the space planning of that area.

After result of research, the space changes of globalization heavy power come from for shortening the not stopping pursuing to the limit of time most, For result of every traffic facility is being produced in the urban space constantly, at last cut urban space incoherent and residency alienation too. Fragmentation of the urban space is the mainly problem of the research to this design, and weaving as a new strategy for reconstructing urban space under this situation.

There are three stages in coming up with the design methodology. The first stage involves researching the relationship between the geography and time of the Jing-Mei area and Taipei City, to find out during the changes of era, the effect of centre and edge contact and the expansion of population on the area. The second stage is to weave a new strategy to carry on the conversion on the space to the most basic linear element in the city. The last stage is to integrate and weave the city’s ground scene and system that originally is not connected, under the context of the experiment base. And through the weaving process, to eventually form a new urban space of cityscape.
