This study mainly targets the leveling in measurement in vocational high schools. It uses the self-developed multi-media teaching system, which integrates animation, sound, pictures, and words, to realize the multi-media in the learning contents. The designed flow chart of the teaching software includes script design, the collection and arrangement of teaching materials, the choices of producing tools of hardware and software, programs producing, systems test and performance, and the transmission of teaching materials for its homepage. It uses Dreamweaver MX as the editing software for its homepage, along with other applied software, to create a vivid and fun learning environment. Finally, the teaching materials will be tested and performed as well as surveyed by the questionnaire. The questionnaire mainly aims at the 145 students majoring in architecture department in Dun Xu Industrial and Commercial Vocational High School. There are two samples to carry out the test. One sample is the students who have never learned leveling, and the other is the students who have learned leveling. What’s more, it will be categorized according to sex. The students will be surveyed shortly after they have learned the multi-media teaching. By using different samples, the students will be tested about their satisfactory degrees and learning efficiency from the mulit-media teaching. Besides, it will analyze the learners’ learning evaluation to study the learning efficiency more objectively. The results of the research are as follows: (1)Whether the students have learned leveling or not their average learning efficiency is above 84%. That shows the multi-media teaching has actually improved the defects of traditional teaching and has increased the students’ learning motivation and self-study efficiency after class. (2)In the two units: “Measurement Principles” and “Measurement Application”, whether the students have learned them or not their average learning efficiency is above 84%, and the difference between them is very small. That means there is a good teaching efficiency on the two units. It doesn’t make a big difference because of different backgrounds. As a result, the teachers should emphasize other units while teaching to heighten the students’ learning efficiency. (3)After using the multi-media teaching, the distribution of the evaluation results is more centralized (the score differentia is lower 3.94 than the past). The average score is 5.91 points higher than traditional teaching. It indicates that most of the students have progressed in their evaluation results, especially those students who did not do a good job on their tests have progressed most. Therefore, it clearly proves that the multi-media teaching is helpful to enhance most students’ learning efficiency. |
