Abstract: | 近年來在台灣文壇上,女性作家輩出,對台灣文學的鑽研已有相當的成果。她們在經歷社會環境快速變遷、女性自我意識的覺醒及兩性之間關係的微妙變化後,用文學表現的方式,將其經驗文本化,這是當代女性小說之共同特性。而蔡素芬小說創作以其獨特的“藝術、共鳴、深入”的寫作技巧,敏銳的心理分析洞察人生,寫實的手法從平凡的題材闡發特殊意涵,將小說主題內容與藝術結合,她的作品已具相當的水準,別具一格,更勝一籌。 蔡素芬不是多產作家,卻是一位多獎作家,她的作品在這些年內分別獲得短、中及長篇小說大獎,不僅得到專業評審的青睞,她“大眾路線”的風格,更是受到廣大讀者的喜愛,奠定了她在文壇上的地位。因此,她的作品引發許多學者的注意,在眾多研究蔡素芬作品的撰述裡,有人將她定位在台灣鄉土作家或是傳承於王藍等人的小說傳統的說法,未曾有人以較宏觀的視野,完整的來分析蔡素芬小說創作發展歷程的著作。筆者自作家個人的生活體驗出發,透過其思想背景、發展脈絡及創作多樣面貌的特色,按照作品呈現的主題意識為主,歸納剖析,作有系統的論述。期能藉此研究來掌握作家的創作內蘊,洞悉更多的時代特質,反映社會現象,進而發掘問題,並為女性研究與自我成長作一借鏡與反思。本論文篇章結構如下:第一章、緒論:說明研究動機與目的、彙整前人研究成果、蔡素芬生平背景及其創作歷程,最後是研究範疇與研究方法,分類概述以勾勒論文的組織架構。第二章、山川日月滋長的鹽田兒女:以蔡素芬早期的生活經驗為背景,主要是敘寫人與土地、人與人以及人與環境之間的情感。第三章、夢中的橄欖樹:以校園民歌〈橄欖樹〉帶出一群年輕學子初入開放自由的大學,對愛情以及理想充滿了憧憬。飄浮中帶著理想,尋找自己的人生與自我實現。第四章、都會形貌:離開原鄉來到都會,在擁擠、喧鬧的城市牢籠裡,面對人際的疏離,架空了感情的肉慾和無止盡的權利物慾時內心的失落與迷惘,有著欲振乏力的疲憊,透過蔡素芬敏銳的體驗,在文字中展現其對人生與人文的關懷。第五章、女性頭上一片天:書寫不同時代背景下的女性,在現實社會結構中的生存處境,面對父權體制下所遭遇的困頓與掙扎。作品中充滿對女性觀照,筆調裡透露著女性堅韌的毅力,及自我意識的認同與實現,並思索女性可能的出路。第六章、結論:總結上述各章觀點來說明蔡素芬創作的多元性,並從她創作主題意識探究其創作歷程,及其在台灣文壇的定位。關鍵詞:蔡素芬、女性作家、鹽田兒女、橄欖樹、台北車站、姐妹書、告別孤寂 Recently in the literary scene in Taiwan, many female writers came forth with substantial understanding of the Taiwanese literature. Following their experiences in a rapid-transforming society, the awakening of female self-awareness and the subtle changes of gender relationships, they translated their experiences into text through literature. This is the common feature shared by the contemporary female writing. With her unique “artistic, appealing, and profound” writing skills and sharp psychoanalysis, Tsai Su-Fen’s (蔡素芬) works give in insight into life. Through her realistic writing, significance is bequeathed to banal subjects. A union between fiction themes, content and art, her works have obtained extraordinary achievement and become a kind of their own which exceeds others. Tsai Su-Fen is not a productive writer but a awarding-winning one. Her works in these years were prized with short story, novelette, and novella awards respectively. She not only has obtained the favor of professional literary critics, but also attracted by a wide range of readers which led to her establishment in the literary scene. Her works henceforth attract more scholarly attention. Among the research discourse on her works, some defined her as a Taiwanese nativist writer or an undertaker of the fiction tradition of writers like Wang Lan. So far there has never been an complete analysis over Tsai Su-Fen’s works of different stages of her writing. A more microscopic approach is absent. This essay sets out from the personal life experiences of the writer and the analysis, conclusion and systematic discourse are mainly based on the theme presented in the work while taking the writer’s ideological background, thread of thoughts, and multi-facet style of writing into account as well. The objective is to grasp the writing spirit through the research. While obtaining insight into the contemporary qualities, reflecting social phenomenon and then further identifying issues, woman’s study and self-development can use this for examples and retrospection. Following is the chapter summary: Chapter 1 Prologue What’s stated here would be research motive and goal, previous literature review, Tsai Su-Fen’s biography, her writing experiences and lastly the study field and methodology. A categorized summary would be given to establish the structure of the essay. Chapter 2 Children of the salt field nurtured by the nature The earlier stage of the writer’s life experiences is the backdrop, and the attachment between people, land and environment is the central theme of illustration. Chapter 3 the olive tree in the dream The campus folk song, “The Olive Tree,” represents the ideal expectation toward love and dream of a group of freshmen who just enter into the open and free environment of university. Wandering with dreams, they seek their own lives and self fulfillment. Chapter 4 Metropolitan scene After leaving hometown for the city, trapped in urban crowdedness and noise, facing the indifferent relationships, lust void of feelings and the endless pursuit of power and material desire, one is lost and confused, exhausted with inertia. Through the writer’s acute experiences, her words display her humanitarian concern to life. Chapter 5 women come to their own Writing about women in different period and their living condition in the reality of social structure which show difficulties and struggles they faced when encountering the patriarchal system. The work is imbued with female reflection. The tone suggests the unyielding female perseverance, self-identity and self-realization while contemplating on the possible way out for women. Chapter 6 Conclusion Giving a summary of the view points stated in the previous chapters so as to illustrate the multi-diversity of Tsai Su-Fen’s works. Probing into the theme ideology in her writing so as to define her in the literary scene context in Taiwan. |
