| Abstract: | 本研究目的希望深入《笑傲江湖》的小說內涵，剖析其創作的獨特性，探討《笑傲江湖》的價值。並以愛情為主軸，探討愛情在《笑傲江湖》所展現的愛情觀與思想內涵。研究步驟依「愛情人物個性分析」、「愛情劇情分析」、「愛情觀與思想內涵的分析」進行章節的討論。
首先，從作品概說中討論小說的主題，包括其政治霸權的鬥爭、黑暗人性的描寫，以及其中愛情故事，說明《笑傲江湖》的愛情人物，包括：令狐冲、任盈盈、岳靈珊、儀琳、林平之、東方不敗、岳不群等；其次，從愛情故事的單一組合配對分析《笑傲江湖》的愛情故事，如：笑傲一曲鴛鴦鳴──令狐冲與任盈盈； 菩薩心，人間情──令狐冲與儀琳；多情總是空餘恨──令狐冲與岳靈珊；恩怨糾葛一場空──林平之與岳靈珊；不愛江山愛美男──東方不敗。透過愛情故事的文本分析之後，將人物與事件的關係逐一剖析，並深入愛情人物愛情觀的探討，如在「權力世界中的愛情」中探討小說中權力慾望與情慾的關係；在「愛情世界裡的自由與束縛」探討小說中主角令狐冲的性格思想與愛情觀在《笑傲江湖》所要彰顯的精神；在「愛情世界裡的世俗與超凡的界線」探討小說中出家修行人的情慾；在「愛情世界裡性別的界線」中探討去勢男性的情慾與愛情。
最後綜合以上分析與探討，發現金庸在《笑傲江湖》的愛情人物與愛情故事，都有其象徵意義，可知道《笑傲江湖》用了武俠小說來表達各種價值觀，也探討人性內在根本的需求慾望。從文學創作的角度上來看，《笑傲江湖》的確是開創了武俠小說的新局，突破武俠小說的樊籬，創作出新的武俠文學內涵。回到愛情人物與愛情觀的象徵性意義，一個愛情觀的產生與人物的個性與特色有相當的關係，愛情關係是藉由兩者之間的互相關係，甚至是三者的交互關係產生，在交互的火花中，愛情觀也逐漸彰顯出來。金庸是企圖真實地反映人世的命運，表現了愛情在權力鬥爭世界的無奈與悲哀。
