| 摘要: | 本研究以民俗及人類學的觀點，探討汐止市閩南族群傳統結婚的儀式。本文以儀式作為研究主體，針對其所呈現的禮俗與觀念，作有系統的呈現，並研究其中所孕含的禮義與文化觀念。在資料的運用上，除傳統文獻資料外，亦參酌其它相關資料，如俗諺及實地調查等，以從事較深入之探討。就研究範圍與深度而言，本文儘量顧及婚禮儀式的各個層面，更企盼其成果能與前賢之研究相互印證；並進而深入探討傳統文獻所未提及的婚俗文化，提供各界參考。
本文共分四章，各章內容如下：
第一章緒論，旨在說明本文之研究動機與目的、研究方法及文獻之探討。
第二章介紹汐止傳統婚俗及社經背景，共分為四節。第一節是簡介汐止傳統婚俗。第二節是介紹與婚俗儀式相關的諺語。第三節自民國三十年至九十五年，劃分為四個時期，以說明各時期汐止婚俗的異同。第四節為本章結語。
第三章介紹汐止婚俗演變的文化意義，共分為六節。第一節從古代經典及相關文獻中探論禮、俗、昏（「昏」的本字作「昬」，因唐代為避唐太宗李世民之名諱，改寫為「昏」字。後來為了有別於黃昏、昏暗之「昏」，加上「女」字旁，以表示乃男女兩性之間人事之大者，於是「婚」便成為結婚、婚姻、婚禮等專用字。所以「昬」、「昏」、「婚」三字是可以通用的）的意涵與功能。第二節從文獻資料探討婚俗儀式的由來與演變。第三節探索婚俗儀式所蘊涵的文化意義。第四節探索婚俗儀式的意義。第五節說明各項婚俗器物的象徵意涵。第六節為本章結語。
第四章是結論。根據前幾章所論，赫然發現現今汐止的婚俗乃是傳統與新式雜然並行的風貌，即於固有婚俗儀程中有現代化的改良，於現代化的婚俗儀式中又具有古禮的精神，兩者互相衝擊，卻又互相依存而自成特色。作者試圖探討汐止婚俗的變異原因，並分就所見的衝擊、缺失與改進加以陳述，且對當前的婚俗儀式作一簡述，讓後人能對現今汐止的婚俗有更進一步的瞭解，並提出改進之道，共分為四節。第一節探討婚俗的傳承。第二節探討婚俗的變異。第三節說明本論文的研究限制與檢討。
Abstract:
The viewpoint of this research is based on the folk custom and anthropology, and it probes into the traditional marriage ceremonies of Xi-Zhi citizens who were from the southern part of Fukien Province. In this study, the principal part is the marriage custom and concept of the ceremonies and the analysis of propriety and righteousness and the culture in it. Besides the traditional documents, this research refers to some publications and other resources, such as proverbs and surveys as the data collection. As for the range and depth of the research, this study tries to take every level of wedding ceremonies into account, and hopes the result can be proved by predecessors’ research. Furthermore, this study can go deep into some light literature that doesn’t mention in the traditional documents and provide some reference materials.
There are four chapters in this study, and the contents are below:
Chapter one is the introduction. There are the motive and purpose of the research, study methods, and literature review.
Chapter two is to introduce the traditional marriage custom in Xi-Zhi and the background of its society and economy. There are four sections in it. The first section is a brief introduction of the traditional marriage custom in Xi-Zhi. The second section is to bring in some proverbs related to the wedding ceremonies. The third section divides the time (from 1941 to 2006) into four periods, and makes a description of the similarities and dissimilarities in the particular period. The forth section is the consequence of chapter two.
Chapter three is to present the culture meanings from the development of the marriage custom in Xi-Zhi. There are six sections. Sections one is to discuss the meaning and the functions of the ceremonies, custom, and marriage in the ancient scriptures and related documents. Section two is to study the origin and evolvement of marriage ceremony form the bibliography. Section three is to search for the culture contained by the marriage ceremony. Section four is talk about the meaning of marriage ceremony. Section five is to explain the symbol of each marriage implement. Section seven is the conclusion of this chapter.
Chapter four is the overall conclusion. According to the forward chapter, this thesis shows that the marriage custom in Xi-Zhi is both in traditional and new style. That is, nowadays the marriage ceremony is including the modernized reform and the spirit of ancient tradition. The writer tries to research why the marriage ceremony in Xi-Zhi changed and to describe the conflict, defect and reform of it to make people to understand the marriage custom in Xi-Zhi a step further and bring up some improvement ideas. There are four sections in this chapter, including the pass-on of the marriage custom, the change of it, and the research limitation and review of this thesis. |
