本論文以王安憶小說中女性對於現代化的嚮往與追求為主題，試從女性的角度討論現代化一議題，討論九0年代以來現代化以強大的力量改變人們的生活，隨之而來的改變與影響成為重要的課題。透過王安憶的小說試圖探討現代化對女性的吸引之大，除了傳統社會給予女性的束縛得以在現代化城市中解除，現代化城市更是提供女性的空間發展自我，成為女性前進現代化城市的動力。論文首先說明女性對於情愛與現代性的想像。王安憶筆下的女性對於現代化生活主動追求的形象，翻轉自古以來女性是被動的角色，成為主動積極的自我主體。但女性對於現代化生活不甚了解，只憑著她們對現代性的想像，急欲突破現狀，最終是不自覺地又依附於男性之下。女性自覺到該主動追求現代化生活，但是資本體制的強大力量使得這些女性身陷其中而不自覺，成為資本化社會中的商品之一。伴隨現代化而來的商品化現象，除了使人容易淪為商品之一，也讓懂得掌握時尚流行趨勢的女性，創造所謂的流行趨勢，讓她們在現代化城市中找到自己的舞台。當王安憶為追求現代化生活女性找到明亮的出口時，商品化帶來的重複與單調，讓她感嘆現代化對傳統生活形式的侵蝕，也同時表達出她對現代化的懷疑與焦慮，她便將焦點轉移至淳樸的農村生活裡。但王安憶自知她無法抵擋現代化所帶來的改變，所以她才會一面批判現代化生活，一面又想讓女性在現代化生活裡有所發展，導致她徘徊現代與傳統之間。 The topic of this thesis is that females pursue modernization in Wang An -Yi’s fictions and discusses modernization changes human’s life from 90’s. So modernization becomes an important issue. Females get more freedom and express them through Wang An -Yi’s fictions. First, this thesis begins from females’ imagination of love and modernization. These female characters written by Wang An -Yi become initiate selves. However, females don’t realize modern life, they pursue the life with imagination. Females are aware that they should pursue modernization but they aren’t aware that they have become commodity of capitalism. By the following question of commercialization, human are sunk to be the commodity. In addition, females can control fashion and know how to create the fashion so called. Wang An Yi opens the window to modernization for females. At the same time, Wang An -Yi shows her doubt about modernization. Wang An -Yi hesitates between modern and traditional life because she knows she can’t resist modernization coming.
