| 摘要: | 本文以七十年代現代詩論戰作為中介，分析羅智成與蘇紹連詩集，比較兩人詩作如何與這場文壇盛事對話。從中發現蘇紹連詩，實現了許多論戰對現代詩的期望；相較之下，羅智成詩則有較濃厚的氣息在試圖超越論戰的指導，雖不迎合，卻也不落入論戰所詬病的缺憾。
本文不討論詩人的自我期許或自我評價，甚至他人的品評、分析；而從詩作本身出發，盡力挖掘，如此作品本身及論戰角度所籠罩的視域，將獲得較多闡發。這樣的嘗試，期望在前人研究之後，獲得一些較新穎的看法。
筆者分別將蘇紹連、羅智成的詩作，依創作年代的先後排序，一首首進行賞析、摘要。除掌握每首詩的精采之處，也從作品當中，找尋可以跟論戰見解對話的契機。
章節的分配上，採取綜合比較兩人詩作的方式。先將所要探討的課題，歸納為兩大類，一類置於第二章「詩藝萬千」，探討蘇紹連四言詩及兩人的散文詩、敘事詩，並分析兩位詩人在意象經營、語言操作、題材內容等方面的轉變等等，進而歸結出，與現代詩論戰對話的成果。
另一類擺在第三章「詩國版圖」，先從兩位詩人在現代詩中，或同或異的關心焦點進行析論；再對比兩人詩作中，各自展開的知識背景、文化底蘊。然後與論戰主張進行對比，以展示出兩位詩人的創作，在過去三十年來的現代詩發展上，所產生的意義。
第四章總述兩人詩作與論戰進行的對話，並初探三本最新詩集，給予評價。
Based on the 1970s as an intermediary modern poetry debate, analysis and Su Shao-lien, Mr Joshua Law into poetry, how to compare the two poems and literary event of this dialogue. Su Shao-lien from that poem, and a lot of debate on the expectations of modern poetry; comparison, Mr Law has more poetry into the thick atmosphere in an attempt to go beyond the polemics guidance, does not meet, but do not fall into polemics criticized defect .
This paper not to discuss the poet''s self-expectations or self-evaluation, or even other people''s evaluation, analysis, and starting from the poetry itself, to mining, such polemic works of their own point of view and shrouded the horizon, will receive more exposition. This attempt to expectations in previous research, access to some of the more innovative views.

Another place in the third chapter, "Poetry of the territory," the poet in the first two modern poems, or the same or different focus of concern for the Analysis of; contrast to the two poems, the start of their background knowledge, cultural background. Then compare that with the debate, the two poets to demonstrate the creativity, in the past 30 years to the development of modern poetry, by significance.
