    摘要: 本研究藉由引用文獻分析法,針對我國圖書資訊學1999年至2004年6月間之期刊文章引用學位論文進行研究分析,更深入分析圖書資訊學學位論文被引用的狀況,藉以瞭解學位論文被利用之情形。

    研究結果發現,圖書資訊學各期刊之總引文量與總引用學位論文量並非成正比;平均每篇文章引用學位論文量為0.74篇。於引用文獻方面,以引用英文文獻為多;但引用之學位論文則以中文為主。就資料類型而言,中文學位論文以碩士論文為主;英文則以博士論文為多。研究亦發現,學位論文以產出後的數年間為被引用的高峰期。至於學校及系所分佈狀況,被引用之學位論文,以臺灣大學最多。而系所分佈,則是圖書資訊學與非圖書資訊學之學位論文各佔一半。

    於圖書資訊學學位論文被引用之情形,被引用次數及被引量皆以臺大最多,淡江次之。但由各校學位論文之影響力觀察,每篇產出之論文被引用的機率,也以臺大之影響力最高。此外,各校有經過商業出版之學位論文達一定數量時,亦會增加其被引用的機會及影響力。至於出版與未出版學位論文被引用之情形,亦顯示商業出版之學位論文較未出版者被引用之比例高。於資料類型方面,以碩士論文被引量最多,但引用率則以博士論文較高。引用學位論文之主題以讀者服務最多,而各校被引用之主題亦仍見其研究特色。

    由非圖書資訊學位論文被引之情形,圖書資訊領域常跨應用、社會及自然科學之學位論文。高度被引用之學位論文有其代表性及主題之廣泛性,至於自我引用之論文則與期刊文章具有高度之相關性,且象徵作者研究持續性。

    最後,依研究之結果,提出以下建議:一、重視學位論文之學術價值;二、建置完善的博碩士論文檢索系統;三、重視圖書資訊學其他主題之相關研究;四、以質化研究觀察學位論文被利用之情形;五、培養圖書資訊學研究人員撰寫文獻之註釋格式。
    The purpose of this research is to analyze theses cited in the journal articles in the discipline of Library and Information Science. These articles we chose to do research are from 1999 to June 2004. In addition, we more focus on theses cited with respect to the discipline of Library and Information Science to understand every kind of situation when they were utilized.

    The results of the current study we found are the number of times regarding articles per journal cited in the field of Library and Information Science could not be equal to that of these cited in the same field. The average of citation in theses was 0.74; moreover, reference in English cited was more than that in Chinese. However, it seemed that among theses they mainly took reference in Chinese into consideration. As far as the type of the materials was concerned, citations in Chinese mainly used masters’ theses, while citations in English preferred PhD dissertations. The peak period concerning theses cited was a few years after their output. Gradually the times of being cited would be diminishing. As to the number of citation distributed in universities, institutes and departments, Taiwan University was on the top. With respect to departments, we found that the discipline of Library and Information Science and other disciplines occupy half of citation quantity each other.

    Furthermore, as to the number of times and ratio concerning theses in the field of Library and Information Science cited, Taiwan University got the top one again and the second one was Tamkang University. According to the influence of theses cited from every university and the probability that each thesis was cited, the result was that Taiwan University brought impact on the academic community most. In addition, when theses were published, which were from every university, reaching the certain quantity, it would be increasing on citation and influential power. As for comparing theses published with non-published ones, it showed that the ratio of published theses cited was higher than those of non-published ones. As to the type of the materials, the times of masters’ theses cited were more than those of dissertations, while as to the ratio concerning citation, dissertations were higher than theses. The subject concerning theses cited most was users’ service. In addition, the subject cited in each university also could show its characteristics of study.

    After analyzing theses cited in other disciplines we found that the domain of Library and Information Science often crossed over the fields of the theses of applied, social, and natural science. Theses highly cited had their representative and extension of subject. As to a thesis by Self-Citation, it was deeply related to the journal articles, and significantly expressed that authors continued to do research on this domain.

    Finally, some suggestions were proposed, which were based on the above results and findings: First, pay attention to the academic value of the thesis. Second, establish a perfect abstract and index system of dissertations and theses. Third, pay attention to the relevant research of other subjects regarding Library and Information Science. Fourth, observe theses cited by means of qualitative approach. Fifth, train researcher''s writing the forms of annotation and document in the discipline of Library and Information Science.
