The material abundance in Taiwan for the past five years has greatly influenced the values of people. While pursuing after material wealth, the importance of the spirit and mind is neglected. Leading to the downfall of the social order, demoralization, and unsettling of the human mind. Those who had realized such changes in the society started the founding of many different spiritual reforms. The most practical of all, is the founding of individual new religions, and “Jin-Jang Tao” is one of them.

“Jin-Jang Tao” may not be as obvious and eye-catching as some of these new religions, but some of the phenomena within this religious group are worth discussing. For example: Jin-Jang Tao inherits the basic meanings of the I-Kuan Tao that passed on to Taiwan from mainland China years ago, and therefore, it’s organizational system, ceremonial style and disciplinal concepts should all be identical to that of the old system. However, the development of such organization in Taiwan throughout the years has gradually evolved into a familial, clan-al form. And its religious manners, ceremonial style and disciplinal concepts further evolved in time along with other changes in the society.

This thesis discusses the distinguishing features of the organization during its development in Taiwan, and further, probes into its difficulties in search of a solution.
