    Abstract: 網際網路的普及與科技技術的提升,改變傳統的傳播形式﹔新網路媒體的出現帶給人們莫大衝擊,同時也改變了人們行為模式。本研究主要探討網誌文章內容的特徵與網誌的使用動機與目的。研究樣本以大學生網誌文章為研究母體,採內容分析法與訪談進行研究。研究引用先前學者分析網誌文章特徵分類為探討之類目,探討:(1)感受思考、(2)家庭朋友、(3)生活記錄、(4)興趣喜好、(5)與讀者互動、(6)個人隱私、(7)目前工作、(8)回憶、(9)專長、(10)感謝讀者、(11)最近事件、(12) 政治評論等類目在各文章中出現的情況。

    研究發現在各文章中,以感受思考所出現的比例佔最高,政治議題為最少。在男女差異中,女生在感受思考類別比男生所佔百分比要來的高,男生在書寫文章時,內容提到關於興趣喜好的比例高於女生。學院互相比較下發現,商學院學生文章在感受思考類目中所佔百分比最為突顯,理學院則偏向於敘述性內容較多。在使用動機上,情感的紓解為使用者最主要的使用目的。
    Due to the proliferation of internet use and the advance of information technology, traditional form of communication has been altered. In the meanwhile, the emergence of new internet media have led great influence to people and changed the behavior of human being. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of blog content and the motives as well as the intentions of student bloggers. The studied samples are those blogs composed by college students. Content analysis and interview techniques are applied to study student blogs. The study uses Trammell’s (2006) categories of blogs in analyzing the characteristics of the blogs in Poland as the classification scheme. The categories of bolgs included in the classification scheme are (1) feelings/thoughts, (2) family/friends, (3) record of the day, (4) interests/hobbies, (5) communicate with readers, (6) intimate details, (7) current projects, (8) memory, (9) technical in nature, (10) thank readers for support, (11) recent news/event, and (12) political statement.
    The research results show that the highest percentage of blog content is about “feelings/thoughts,” and the lowest is “political statement.” There are differences in male and female bloggers. “Feelings/thoughts” category in female’s blog has higher percentage than that in male’s blog. However, “interests/hobbies” category in male’s blog has higher percentage that in female’s blog. There are also differences among colleges. The students in the college of business have written more about “feelings/thoughts.” The students in the college of science have a tendency of writing in description. Finally, the intention to blog is that bloggers want to give vent to their feelings.
