    Abstract: 在型二逐步設限和一般化型二逐步設限下,我們提出一些新的樞紐量, 對一個新的具有浴缸型或遞增失敗率函數之雙參數壽命分配和對數常態分配之形狀參數做統計推論。經由模擬分析,我們發現新的樞紐量比謝承剛[民94]之樞紐量有較好的表現。在這些許多新的樞紐量中,我們會選出平均區間長度最短或平均檢定力最大的樞紐量,做為最佳之樞紐量。最後, 我們舉兩個數值例子來示範本文提出之所有推論方法。
    Several new pivotal quantities are proposed to do the statistical inferences for the shape parameter for a new two-parameters lifetime distribution with bathtub shape or increasing failure rate function and the lognormal distribution under type II progressive censoring and general type II progressive censoring in this paper. The simulation results show that the new pivotal quantities are superior to those pivotal quantities proposed in the master thesis of Cheng-Kang Hsieh (2005). For these new pivotal quantities, the optimal one is chosen based on the minimum confidence length for confidence interval or the highest power for hypothesis testing. At last, two numerical examples are given to demonstrate all proposed methods in this paper.
