To face on the globalize challenge, fast change and keen competition of information technology industry environment, the enterprises give up the traditional organization type gradually in recent years, and turn the work type to be project as direction to responds to the environmental changes and customer''s demand, and then reach the enterprise goals.
The project team regards the project manager as the centre, act the role as leaded, communicated, coordinated, combined, and through the interaction with project team members, and exert an influence on the project performance.
Therefore, to against the pluralism and interdependence relation of the project team members, what styles of leadership that project manager should take to influence the interaction of the team members, and through the interaction from the team to raise the project performance? Those issues will be the main study purpose for this research.
This research adopts convenience sampling to take the samples. After collected questionnaires from 300 subjects who engaged in research and development of products of the server at local and foreign enterprises in Taiwan, there are total 196 valid questionnaires were returned. Aimed at those valid samples to proceed with validity analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis, the empirical research findings as below:
1.Comparing to transactional leadership, transformational leadership has more significant influence on team interaction.
2.Team interaction has significant effect on the performance of project.
3.The relationship between transformational leadership and project performance is mediated by team interaction.
Finally, the research limit, future research direction, and the meaning of the theoretical and practical of this study were also discussed.
