    Abstract: 本研究旨在探討女性創業家的人格特質、創業動機、與創業績效之關係。本研究從相關的文獻探討開始著手,再根據其理論基礎建立本研究之架構與假設,並選用適當的量表為研究工具,採用便利抽樣法進行抽樣,經抽取台灣中小企業創業廠商之女性企業會員,以電話聯絡確定公司由其創立並繼續經營,且其願意接受問卷調查則成為本研究樣本而郵寄問卷調查。本研究共發放360份問卷,有效回收樣本294份,有效回收率為81%。針對回收的有效樣本294份資料,進行信度分析、敘述性統計、因素分析、t 檢定及變異數分析、相關分析及多元逐步迴歸分析。經實證分析和討論後,有以下重要發現:1. 人格特質對創業動機有顯著正向影響,其中女性創業者人格特質若傾向內控型,其創業動機愈傾向拉式動機;而女性創業者人格特質若傾向外控型,則其創業動機傾向推式動機。2. 人格特質對創業績效有顯著的正向影響,其中女性創業者人格特愈傾向內控型者,其創業績效愈好。3. 創業動機對創業績效有顯著的正向影響,其中女性創業者創業動機愈傾向拉式動機,其創業績效愈好。
    The main purpose of this research is trying to find the relationships among personal traits, motivation, and business performance in female entrepreneurs. This research is begun to set about from relevant references, and then set up structure and hypotheses of this research according to its theoretical foundation, select proper scale for study tool. The convenience sampling is used select from the female entrepreneurs of small and medium size companies. First of all, telephone calls are made to confirm the foundation and continuous operation of the sampling companies. Then, the questionnaires are distributed by mails as research population. The research is distributing questionnaires of 360 copies in total. The effective response sample is 294 copies which account for effective rate of 81%. Basing on these effective responses, several quantitative analytical methods are used like the reliability, descriptive statistics, facto analysis, t-test, one way ANOVA, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. After the empirical research, the major findings as follows:
    1. The personal traits have significant effect on the entrepreneurial motivation. For female entrepreneurs, if the personal traits are internal locus of control; then, the motivation is tended to be “pull” type. The external locus of control one is more push type.
    2. The personal traits have significant effect on the entrepreneurial performance. Moreover, the internal locus of control of female entrepreneurs will have better entrepreneurial performance than the other one.
    3. The motivation has significant effect on the entrepreneurial performance. Moreover, the pull-type motivational female entrepreneurs will have better entrepreneurial performance than the other one.
