The chemosensing molecule which was designed and based on the structural core of thiophene-thiazole and thiazole-thiazole and the outlayer modification by connecting with ortho-、meta- and para-pyridine. The maximum UV-Vis wavelength was measured and titration with organic acid, TFA(Trifluoroacetic acid), in different solvents were investigated, and the best choice was observed to be methanol. Ten of metal(I) and metal(II) ions in methanol were investigated for the chelating capabilities with the designed molecules. The para-pyridyl attached compounds were observed to behave as the highly specific sensing probe to mercury(II) ion even other metals existed in detecting system.
