By the change of human life-span and population structure and following the brilliant progress of technological and information transmission, people pay more attention on personal healthcare and medical treatment matters. The medical devices industry of Taiwan is in middle-small scale because of the small market. Besides, the peripheral industry of supporting each other is insufficient, make the scale of the products expand slowly. However the electronic industry develops fast in recent years, make domestic electrical medical devices manufacturing obviously grow up. Medical devices manufacturers of Taiwan rely mainly on small and medium-sized exporting enterprises. The international competition fierce year by year, in addition, the salary goes up and the land and manpower lack. Those issues make Taiwan enterprise environment degradation. Medical devices manufacturers move factory get other countries by strive for ideal working condition and way. Even the medical industry of Taiwan has already been listed in ten major new industry by the government, enjoy tax, finance, scientific and technological research and industry arranges to reward, to coach and to have priority, but still unable to solve the predicament of medical devices industry.
This study is directed against the present situation of the medical devices manufacturer of Taiwan and development trend in the future, and the inside environment of the medical devices manufacturer, D company, external environment condition (including industry''s environment and overall environment) are assessed and analyzed wholly. Interpret the scope of the enterprise, management state and development trend to the domestic medical devices industry. Probe into the relevant assessment key elements of the environment and external environment condition inside the case company, dependence of and the forming key element of enterprise''s competitive strategy, etc. Conclude and probe it’s competitive strategy and form the key element, in order to give advice and reference to make and revise the case company’ specific competitive strategy.
