According to related studies about simple monopoly spatial price theory, Cheung and Wang (1996) show that, the shape of demand function can fully determine the relative economic advantages between two simple spatial pricing policies in a world with fixed market area, provided other respective condition are satisfied. First, we examine other respective condition of Cheung and Wang (1996). Second, we reexamine this general context between the shape of the demand function and two simple pricing policies. Finally, the most important, we find the shape of the demand function cannot fully determine the total output and social welfare between FOB and CIF pricing with fixed market area. In other words, when we are compare relative economic benefits between two simple pricing policies, the economic space plays an important role, the shape of the demand function is not the main factor.
