    Abstract: 資訊科技融入教學的發展與推行,強調教師應用資訊科技於教學過程之中,使學生能培養現代的資訊能力、及主動探索與研究的學習能力。
    The development and carrying out of the policy, information integrated into instruction, emphasizes that teachers should apply the information technology into instruction to help students build up the modern capability of using technology and the capabilities of active exploring and studying.
    The purpose of this study is to conduct an action research on information technology (IT) integrated into English teaching for facilitating English abilities of junior high school students by e-picture books. The trend of integrated information into instruction has influenced the way of teaching, which may include the utilization of technology and creative teaching activities in class. Currently, picture books are very popular with junior high students. Students also like the stimulation of sounds, words, pictures from multimedia. These points make the researcher use the e-picture books as the web-based teaching materials. The results will show the effects of information technology integrated into English teaching, the effects of using e-picture books to facilitate students’ listening, speaking, writing and reading comprehension.
    The researcher, being an English teacher now, conducts an action research. The study would be conducted at Yuan-li junior high school, Miao-li County. The researcher should collect data with the researcher’s teaching and observation records, the researcher’s reflection journals, students’ feedback records and questionnaires. The results of study could be served as a reference for the researcher and teachers who would like to study and implement IT into English teaching at junior high schools in the future.
