二、對於教育訓練評鑑趨勢與議題後續研究的建議 (一)在研究方法的設計上,可採用後設分析研究,對於國內教育訓練研究的結果進行後設分析的探討。 (二)在研究對象的來源上,應納入期刊、技術報告等來源。 The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends and issues of the master and doctoral dissertations for the topic of “training evaluation” in Taiwan. The study focused on 187 dissertations published during 1975 to 2003 in Taiwan. The study applied “Content Analysis” as the research method.
The conclusions of the research were summarized as follows: 1. The basic information of master and doctoral dissertations on training evaluation (1) The assortment of degree: the most are for “master degree” and the least are for “doctoral degree”. (2) The published faculty: the most are published by faculties of education and other human services. (3) The published time: Since 1995, the published dissertations have increased gradually. 2. The applied fields of master and doctoral dissertations on training evaluation (1) The distributions of the applied field: the most are applied to “education”, “hospital & social welfare” as well as “government public service”. 3. The research methods used by master and doctoral dissertations on training evaluation (1) The distributions of research methodology: the most used are “quantitative approach”, and the least are “qualitative approach” (2) The distribution of data collection techniques: the most used are “test”, “survey” and “measurement scales”. 4. The topics of master and doctoral dissertations on training evaluation (1) The distribution of topics: the most are about “training result evaluation” and least are about “training program evaluation”. (2) Very few concerned both on “training result evaluation” and “training program evaluation”
Suggestions for the educational practice and future research were summarized as follows: 1. For the training evaluation study (1) It is suggested that the training evaluation study should be applied in more fields. (2) It is suggested that the study should apply various research methods and data collection techniques. (3) It is suggested that the study should pay more attention to the “program evaluation” (4) It is suggested that the “training result evaluation” study should emphasize on the training benefits to the whole organization effectiveness.
2. For the future study (1) It is suggested that the method of meta-analysis should be conducted to analyze the research result. (2) It is suggested that the source of study subjects should include the journal articles and technical reports.
