    Abstract: 現行國中教學環境中,測驗是相當重要且頻繁的教學活動,然而一般教師及學生都習以測驗分數作為評斷學習成就的依據,忽略了測驗結果所能回饋的其他訊息。本研究的目的在於將左騰隆博的SP表測驗分析理論應用於國中英語教學現場,探討教師如何應用SP表分析資料作為教學、命題、及學生輔導等參考依據,並促使學生重視測驗過程中所反應的學習問題。
    Examinations are one of the most important and frequent parts of teaching activities in junior high school. However, most teachers and students only value the scores and take them as the basis to level students’ achievement, neglecting that there are so many useful information revealed. The goal of the research is to apply S-P chart analysis theory in English teaching in junior high and to treat how teachers carrying the theory into execution. In addition to indicating the ways teachers applying the theory on teaching, testing and learning counseling, this research also aims to urge the students to make the most of the result of the examinations.
    The practicing of the theory on English teaching has been through 14 weeks and comes to the following conclusions:
    1. S-P chart analysis theory is a practical analysis tool for teaching English. It helps teachers to tell whether the items at low achievement need to be taught again or not.
    2. According to the data from the S-P chart analysis theory as well as the levels of the students achievement, the researcher tried to classify the students into eight groups, and found that S-P chart analysis theory is useful especially for diagnosing the problems of the students of medium achievement.
    3. The practicing of the S-P chart analysis theory has positive influence on students’ attitude toward English examinations.
