The positive direction is encouraged the research participant becoming a Dang-Ki, another is obstacles of the research participant becoming a Dang-Ki. The role identity of becoming a Dang-Ki of the research participant is through confrontation and conflict between the two opposite factors. The researcher found that there are three phases of developing self-identity as a Dang-ki: 1. belief and disbelief. 2. mortal and immortal. 3. all or none. The study found that when the research participant looks more into the progress of the becoming a Dang-Ki, her internal confrontation of dualism gradually turns to be one inner core beliefs.

The study also finds out that the identity process of becoming a Dang-Ki is repetition of resistance and acceptance of one self. The psychological process of becoming a Dang-Ki is the process of self-identity of Dang-Ki and is the decreasing identify of the ego and the increasing development of transpersonal self.
