Le Corbusier，born in 1887，was an very important person who influenced Modern Architecture quite a lot. In his early years, he admired the Mechanism，Mechanism and geometric orders. However, he turned his design style to the Brutalism and Naturalism when he was older. Although these two styles are quite different from each other，they both influenced the Modern Architecture a lot. The motivation of this thesis is to discuss how the contemporary international political and economic trends shaped Le Corbusier’s design ideas. Moreover, the positive and negative evaluation of the later generations is another point it wants to discuss.
There are total five chapters in this thesis：
Chap.1 is the Introduction chapter. Chap.2 is the background of Le Corbusier and the raise of Modern Architecture. Chap.3 is the Introduction of Le Corbusier Architecure Master Pieces. chap.4 is the evaluation of the later generation. chap.5 is the Conclusion Chapter.
