    Abstract: 伊比利半島國家在第三波民主化過程中,扮演著極為顯著的角色,尤其葡萄牙身為民主化的先鋒國家,並在70年代末期成為歐美國家對外政策的焦點國之一,然而在國內卻鮮少有相關的研究書籍,即便是對葡萄牙有興趣的研究者,也只能在外文書籍上後到滿足,因此,此本論文的主要目的便是,希望能藉此論文使讀者對葡萄牙的民主化與政黨體制有概略性的了解,以葡國政黨體制的發展來檢視其民主化的鞏固程度。
    本文共分為七章,第一章為緒論;第二章主要是對薩拉查威權政體中的政治體制作概括性的了解;第三章則是探究葡國由威權政體轉向民主化的原因與過程;第四章以葡萄牙民主化過渡時期所面臨的種種困境為主要論述;第五章則是探討著葡國正式走向民主體制後的政治發展;第六章對現代葡萄牙政黨的建構與發展特色作進一步的探究;第七章則是提出研究的結果,並為本文做一總結。
    Iberian Countries play a remarkable character in the third wave of democratization. Among them, Portugal was the pioneer of that democratic wave and was emerged as key nation in American foreign policy during 1974-1976. However yet we lack a book about Portugal to which an interested general reader can turn for understanding. Therefore the research objective of this article is primary to provide readers an general understanding of the transition and consolidation of Portugal’s democratization. Since political party is the prime elements of democratic system, it was studied to analyze the consolidation of democracy in Portugal.
    This article will totally divided into seven chapters, the first chapter is preface; the second chapter is primary to review the outlines of political system in Sarazarist hegemony; the third chapter is to examine the causes and process of revolutionary transition to democracy; the forth chapter is to investigate the dilemmas of democratization in the period of exception; the fifth chapter is to examine the political development in the consolidation of democracy; the sixth chapter tell us the construction and character of political parties in Portugal; chapter seven than is to present research result, to be the conclusion of this article
