    摘要: 本論文主要以國際互賴理論的角度，先期初探日本與中共雙方的外交動作在受到現今國際社會互賴情況更趨緊密的影響下，雙邊的交往模式是否會因互賴程度的不同而呈現出迥異的行動與作法？並希冀藉由比較日本與中共的諸項交流現象及其對雙方所產生的後續影響，進一步釐清台灣在東亞地緣戰略中的定位與應扮演之角色，期能提供執政當局對於今後策劃兩岸及對日本外交政策的參考與啟發。
    全文區分為五章十四節，其大要如次：
    第一章：「緒論」旨在陳述研究動機與目的、研究範圍與限制、研究方法與架構。
    第二章：「理論探討與概念界定」，探討互賴理論的發展、涵義、觀點與差異、以及互賴理論的應用與假設。
    第三章：「日『中』關係發展與政策走向」，分別依1972年雙邊建交前日國會議員訪中等檯面下動作頻仍之「互賴衍生期」，1978-1998年雙邊經貿互動密切迄至江澤民訪日檢討ODA結束之「互賴蜜月期」，1998年迄今雙邊在政經外交上的競合之「互賴衝突期」等3個面向，探討日「中」雙邊互賴關係的演變。
    第四章：「日『中』未來關係可能之演變」，探討日「中」雙邊目前解決各項衝突機制，以日本首相小泉參拜靖國神社等衝突為例，評估雙邊重要議題之敏感性與脆弱性，並研判安倍時期雙邊關係可能發展。
    第五章：「結論」分別從回顧與檢討、發現與建議2方面，就前述章節內容進行歸納總結，並提出台灣未來政策應致力方向。
    Based mainly on the viewpoint of “the Interdependence Theory”, this thesis will first discuss whether the diplomatic interaction pattern between Japan and China is affected by the degree of their interdependence in the light of closer ties of the international community. Furthermore, it will compare a number of phenomena of exchanges between Japan and China as well as their consequences, so as to clarify Taiwan’s position and role within the East Asia geographic strategic framework. Hopefully, it may provide the government useful information with respect to policies towards China and Japan respectively.
    The thesis is arranged in five chapters including 14 sections as follows:
    Chapter 1. Introduction: motives and purposes of research, scopes and limits of research, and methodology and framework.
    Chapter 2. Study of theories and definition of concepts: developments, meanings, viewpoints and differences of “the Interdependence Theory”, and its assumptions and applications.
    Chapter 3. Developments of Sino-Japan relationship and policy trends: a. “the incipient stage of interdependence referring to frequent exchanges between members of Parliament of both sides before the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1972; b. “the honeymoon period of interdependence” referring to close economic ties from 1978 to1998 which ended after Jiang Zemin’s visit to Japan and ODA policy review; c. “the conflict stage of interdependence” regarding political, economic and diplomatic competitions and co-operations between both sides.
    Chapter 4. Possible scenarios of Sino-Japan relationship: conflict solution mechanisms between China and Japan, with the example of Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi’s visit to the Yasukuni Shrine; assessment of sensitiveness and fragility of critical bilateral issues and possible development under Shinzo Abe.
    Chapter 5. Conclusion: suggestions on Taiwan’s policies based on reviews and findings of this research.
