Abstract:	翻譯是英語丈教學的障礙式是有用的手段和高貴的目標?這個問題的回答典語言教學的理論有關，也與學生的學習過程和思考方式有關。探討在台灣的學生與社會各界人士的中英雙語思考行為和習慣，發現翻譯是可以切實利用的教學方式和手段，也具有心理的現實性。以翻譯的現實利益和政經文化傳播需要而言，翻譯更應為英文系學生深入研究與實踐的學術領域。
