    Abstract: This paper profiles an ESP course titled "English Through International Affairs" designed for advanced learners of English at a graduate college in Tamkang University. The paper begins with a rationale for the use of news source in reading
    instruction relevant to current L2 pedagogy. It outlines the course content, describes instructional strategies, and concludes with highlights and final thoughts based on an evaluation of the teaching experience.
